School’s law or country law? Most schools ban them, some teachers follow it, some don’t. Moreso, most don’t or only hold it for the rest of the class.

Country law. Introduced in… somewhere between 2006-2008. As far as I know no schools follow it and teachers usually hold the phones until the rest of the class (with one notable exception or two…).
